Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
The short version: That Computer Guy 26 is a one-person, home-operated business in Seymour, IN. This site does not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or profiling cookies. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to type into the contact form or chat box, and we use it only to answer you and do the work you asked for. We don’t sell your information. Ever.
1. Who this covers
This policy explains how TCG Solutions, operating as That Computer Guy 26 (“we,” “us,” “our”), handles information in connection with this website and the services Gary Amick provides. Contact: (812) 414-9097, gary.amick0614@gmail.com.
2. What we collect — and what we don’t
Information you give us directly:
- Contact form. If you send a message, we receive what you enter — typically your name, an email address or phone number, and the details of your request.
- Chat. If you use the on-site chat, we receive the messages you send so we (or our assistant) can respond. Please don’t put passwords, payment-card numbers, or other sensitive secrets into the chat.
Collected automatically: our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. That’s ordinary web-server logging, not behavioral tracking.
What we do not do: no advertising networks, no cross-site trackers, no Google Analytics or Facebook pixels, no profiling cookies, no device fingerprinting. The live-data dashboards (markets, weather, roads, cameras, and so on) are built from public sources and collect nothing about you.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your message and answer your questions.
- To provide, schedule, and complete the service you requested.
- To keep records of work (estimates, receipts, diagnostics) when you ask or when the job needs it.
- To keep the website secure and functioning.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
4. Third-party services we rely on
- Website hosting (Netlify). Serves this site and keeps server logs as above.
- Our own application server (api.thatcomputerguy26.org). Receives contact-form and chat submissions so we can read and respond. We operate it.
- Email. When you contact us, your message may be delivered to our email so we can reply.
The public data on the tools pages comes from third parties (NOAA, NASA, USGS, the CDC, Yahoo Finance, INDOT/CARS, and others). Viewing it does not send those parties your personal information through us.
5. Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Any storage used is limited to what’s needed for the site to work (for example, remembering that you dismissed a notice). You can clear site data anytime without breaking anything important.
6. How long we keep it
We keep contact and job-related information only as long as needed to answer you, complete and stand behind the work, and meet ordinary record-keeping obligations — then we delete or archive it. Server logs are kept a limited period for security and troubleshooting. You can ask us to delete information you’ve sent (see Section 8).
7. How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS and submissions are encrypted in transit. That said, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and — as noted in our Terms — this is a one-person, uninsured operation, not a bank. Please don’t send information more sensitive than the job requires.
8. Your choices & rights
- Ask what information of yours we hold, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- Decline to provide information — though we may then be unable to help.
- Contact us with any privacy question or concern.
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights to access or delete your information. We’ll honor applicable rights on request — email gary.amick0614@gmail.com.
9. Children
This site and our services are intended for adults and business owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version; material changes will be posted here.
This Privacy Policy is provided for transparency and general information and is not legal advice. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
