Software & Automation

Tools that take the repetitive work off your plate.

Small, purpose-built software: internal tools, dashboards, and automations tailored to how your business actually works. Built to be maintainable and handed over cleanly — never a black box only I can touch.

Most small businesses run on a patchwork of spreadsheets, sticky notes, and manual copy-paste between systems that don’t talk to each other. Custom software doesn’t mean an expensive enterprise platform — it means a small, focused tool that fixes the one thing that eats your team’s time every week, built to fit how you actually work rather than forcing you to work around it.

What that can look like

Dashboards

Live views of the numbers that matter — sales, inventory, jobs, whatever you actually check every day, in one place instead of five spreadsheets.

Automation

Automating the repetitive manual steps — data entry, report generation, file sorting, notifications — so nobody’s spending hours a week on work a computer should be doing.

Internal Tools

Purpose-built apps for your team: scheduling, tracking, simple databases, tailored to how you actually work instead of a bloated off-the-shelf suite.

Public Sites

Customer-facing tools and portals beyond a standard website — booking systems, lookup tools, simple customer accounts.

What’s included

  • Internal tools and dashboards built around your actual workflow
  • Workflow automation for repetitive manual steps
  • Data cleanup and reporting
  • Clean handover with real documentation
  • No vendor lock-in — you own what’s built

Built to be maintainable, not clever

A lot of custom software fails not because it doesn’t work on day one, but because nobody but the original developer can touch it six months later. Every tool is built with straightforward, well-documented code and a clean handover, so if you ever need someone else to make a change, they can. Nothing proprietary, nothing locked to me personally.

The scope always starts small and honest: what’s the one process costing you the most time or the most mistakes right now? That’s usually where the first tool should go, before anything bigger.

Pricing, honestly

Custom software is quoted by scope after we talk through what you actually need — there’s no fixed catalog price because no two businesses' workflows are identical. You approve the scope and cost before work starts.

Questions

I don’t know exactly what I need automated — is that a problem?

Not at all. Most projects start with a conversation about where your time actually goes. Often the biggest win isn’t what you expected going in.

Do I get the source code and documentation?

Yes. Anything built for you is handed over cleanly with documentation, so you’re never dependent on me specifically to keep it running or to take it elsewhere later.

Will you maintain it after launch?

That’s available if you want it, by simple arrangement — but you’re never locked in. The goal is a tool that works and that you actually understand.

Do you work with small businesses on this, or only bigger companies?

Small businesses are the focus. Tools are scoped to be genuinely useful and maintainable, not an oversized enterprise system you don’t need.

Do you give an estimate before starting?

Yes, always up front. You approve the scope and rough cost before I start.
